Disclaimer & Usage Guidelines

Food Contact Safety

  • Our cookie cutters are made from lab-tested, FDA-compliant, food-grade PLA filament.

  • Most consumer 3D printing filaments may contain additives or colorants not certified for food contact. We use materials labeled as “food-grade” by the manufacturer, but actual food safety also depends on how our cookie cutters are made and handled.

  • Because 3D printing produces microscopic crevices and layer lines, our cookie cutters can harbor food particles or bacteria even after washing. Always wash thoroughly before first use and after each use.

  • While we use quality-controlled hardware, our cookie cutters are NOT produced using industrial or fully sterilized equipment. Printer parts in contact with our products are selected to minimize safety risks.

Intended Use

  • Use our cookie cutters only to cut raw dough.

  • Do not use them as molds in the oven or expose them to direct heat. Our cookie cutters are not oven safe and may deform or release unsafe substances at high temperatures.

  • These cookie cutters are designed for brief food contact only and should not be used for long-term food storage.

Cleaning Instructions

  • Hand wash only with warm, soapy water. Do not use abrasive pads or harsh detergents.

  • Do not place in the dishwasher or expose to boiling water—high heat may warp or damage the cutters.

  • Allow cutters to air dry completely before storing.

  • For added sanitation, you may occasionally soak them in a mild bleach solution and rinse thoroughly.

Additional Safety Notes

  • Avoid prolonged contact with acidic or fatty foods, as these may degrade the PLA material over time.

  • Inspect cookie cutters regularly for cracks or any signs of damage. Discontinue use if any are found.

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as UV exposure can weaken the plastic.

Manufacturing Environment

  • While we use food-safe materials and dedicated equipment, our cookie cutters are produced in a non-sterile, small batch environment in Seattle.

  • Always clean thoroughly before use for maximum safety.

Limitations – For Home Use Only

  • Our cookie cutters are intended for home use only and are not suitable for commercial food production, as they are produced in a small-scale, non-sterile environment and have not been tested or certified to meet commercial kitchen standards.

  • Commercial food preparation may require utensils with third-party certifications and greater durability, which our products do not provide.
